Aphia is a beautiful biblical name and the name I would have called my daughter. When I was overdue I cleaned the Church and prayed whether having another baby would be the right thing to do. I believe that Aphia said her goodbyes to me the day I lost her. In this painting I believe that I was channelling. It is exciting to think that I channelled my unborn child. I saw a "Rainbow" in the fireplace glass. Aphia's father was a woodcutter which is appropriate. When I asked the Bishop of Waikato what Aphia meant, and pointed out that they knew the meaning of the boys names, he replied that he did not know the biblical meaning of the name but he did know the Maori meaning - "One who stands by to help." Because Aphia was part Maori of like to think of the Maori meaning but does anyone know the meaning of the biblical name? I often watch the fire and think of her. Last night I saw a heart in the fire burning brightly.
